NORRIS LAKE – with up to 25’ visibility and no industry or pollution, Norris Lake is ranked by TVA (Tennessee Valley Authority) as being the cleanest TVA Lake and is also one of the cleanest Lakes in the country. Covering over 34,000 acres, Norris Lake has over 800 miles of shoreline, 75% of which are protected by TVA, Wildlife Management Areas and Parks. Fed by the Clinch River and Powell River, surrounding Norris Lake are the counties of Anderson, Campbell, Claiborne, Grainger and Union.

With it’s crystal clean and turquoise in color water, you can’t help but to want to spend the day cruising the waters. Find your own cove and jump in for a swim or picnic and scavenge one of the many islands that are in Norris Lake. Cast a line and try your hand at record breaking Crappie, Walleye, Large and Small Mouth Bass, Catfish, Carp, Drum, Bream, or a 50 pound Striper. There are many marinas throughout Norris Lake and many offer jet-ski, pontoon boat and fishing boat rentals. Norris Lake has it all…it’s recreational use is far more numerous than any of the other tributary reservoirs in the TVA river system.
